A massive explosion rocked the heart of Old Delhi this evening, just outside Red Fort Metro Station (Gate No. 1). According to early reports, a car exploded around 6:50 pm IST, triggering panic and chaos in one of the city’s busiest heritage zones.

Eyewitnesses described the blast as a “deafening explosion” that shook nearby buildings and vehicles. Flames engulfed several cars and auto-rickshaws parked nearby. Within minutes, the area was cordoned off by police and emergency responders.
